Los Cabos "The Capes" located at the tip of Baja peninsula is known as the "Marlin Capital of the World". This world name recognition originated from the highest amount of strip marlin living within only 20 miles of Cabo San Lucas then anywhere else in the world.

The average size of black and blue marlin is around 250 lbs and can get as large as 1100 lbs. For the fishermen who seek other than marlin, they can surely attract and catch dorado, wahoo, billfish, yellowfin tuna, roosterfish, amber jack and many others. The deep water of the Sea of Cortez is a home to over 650 different species of fish.

The temperature of water determines the availability and type of fish that you can catch. The warmer temperatures from May till October permit the fishermen hook a dorado, a striped marlin or a sailfish. Mid-October through December is the best time for fishing, now it is the time to catch a blue or black marlin!

Please make sure that you reserve your desired boat in advance to insure the availability.

Don't forget to bring a cooler with you if you decide to bring your catch home. There are plenty of restaurants waiting for you to cook your fish any way you wish. Mexican cooks make incredible saviche, sushi, or grilled style to your perfection.
