Currency
The currency used in Los Cabos the Mexican Peso and the US Dollar. Banks and your credit card company will offer the best exchange rates but only some restaurants and shops accept credit cards. Be sure to ask before you order your meal or select an item to purchase.

Do we need to bring our passport when flying to Mexico? As of the beginning of January of 2007, all of the airlines require that a passenger checks in with a valid passport when flying from and to US, Canada and Mexico. Any time prior, the foreigners were able to use their birth certificate with a valid driver’s license. The passport processing time can take anywhere from two weeks up to about a month.

Do we need to rent a car during our Cabo trip? If you are staying in Cabo San Lucas and would like to explore San Jose del Cabo, or vise versus, you may choose to rent a car. If you decide to take a taxi, it will cost you about $60 usd. You may also visit Todos Santos, which is about an hour north of Cabo San Lucas. This is where you find the famous “Hotel California” and many art galeries.

Will my mobile phone work in Los Cabos? Most US or Canadian cell phones work in Los Cabos, however, be sure to check with your cell phone provider before you travel. Once you arrive, try to make a local call by dialing 624 and then the number. When you call Mexican cell phones from a land line it is required to dial 044 624 prior to the number.

Do I need to bring my golf clubs? Most of the golf courses rent the golf clubs so if you like to travel light, you do not need to bring them along.

What is the legal drinking age in Mexico? The legal drinking age in the country of Mexico is 18.
